本實驗室利用生物資訊學及細胞/分生的技術,從事與臨床疾病相關之生理及病理的探討。目前主要的研究方向有三個重點:一、探討子宮內膜異位(endometriosis)成因之分子機制,子宮內膜異位症約佔生殖年齡期婦女人數的10-15%,大部分會導致不孕症的發生,目前有關子宮內膜異位形成之原因,並不清楚。本實驗室過去幾年的研究,在這個領域已有相當不錯的成果,未來將著重在整合性基因功能上的研究;二、缺氧誘導因子(HIF-1a)調控基因與疾病之研究。細胞因為缺氧會產生種種不同的生理反應或病理變化,包括學習記憶、癌症、心血管疾病、生長遲緩、腦部疾病、肺部疾病等。我們利用生物資訊學的方法,將基因體中會受缺氧誘導因子調控之基因(包括人類、大鼠、小鼠)找尋出來,並研究其在生理、病理上的功能;三、研究整個基因體的調控及細胞分化、去分化及在分化的機轉。基因體外調控(epigenomic modification and reprograming)對細胞之命運影響至巨,甚或造成細胞病變。我們利用生物資訊學、功能性基因體學、系統生物學等尖端方法,對此一現象作深入的研究。

RESEARCH INTERESTS:
The research interests in my laboratory are primarily focused on three different areas: Investigation of molecular mechanisms leading to the development of endometriosis,
hypoxia and human diseases, and application of Bioinformatics and Systems Biology methodologies to study epigenomic modification and genome reprogramming. We employ state-of-the-art techniques
and "dry-bench" approaches to carry out these projects.
